The Rainbox

Domestic System - for toilet flushing, washing machines, outdoor uses

Rain water is collected from your roof area. It is then passed through the VF1* filter system which removes any large pieces of debris, leaves, etc. and then into the underground tank through a calmed inlet designed to stop the disturbance of any sediment in the bottom of the tank. Excess water will pass through a siphoned overflow fitted to the tank to be connected to the storm drain or soakaway.

Inside the tank sits a submersible steel pump which works on demand, ie a tap being used or a toilet flushing. The pump switches on and allows the stored water to flow.

The main objective of the RAIN BOX systems is to give priority to the use of rain water over that of the mains water. When the rain water contained in the underground tank is insufficient the RAIN BOX unit passes to the main water supply, thereby ensuring a flow of water at all times.

The RAIN BOX is a small compact system, making it easy to store and kept hidden – 400mm x 370mm x 170mm (W x H x D).
